CLUB WALL SESSIONS 2013
2013 The Sunday sessions finish after the 28th April,after that we will be outdoors.Kids and beginners will probably be on Fri evenings ,venues etc will be on facebook page.please contact Ian (see committee member link) if you intend to come so that we can take extra harness,s /helmets.Tues evenings at Picky will continue throughout the summer..
Tuesdays 8/1/13- 7.15pm-10pm inducted members only -these sessions will run untill further notice. The bouldering cave/induction is available to club members at club sessions .
The Bouldering Cave now open to the public during sports centre opening hours- a short induction is required, contact Picky reception .
There are also Picky open sessions/and courses -contact Picky for details.www.pickaquoy.com (see links page) Scott -"Dream Walls" has finished the build of the wall at KGS which will open once the new school is finished.
Community Spaces Lottery Fund awarded the Pickaquoy Centre just under £150,000 to build a Climbing Wall and Bouldering The main wall and bouldering cave are now open..

The club has a variety of camping equipment and guide books that are available to members on loan-- on a return in good condition or replace basis.contact sarah for details n.b no climbing equipment available to borrow.

There are no charges for outdoor meets ,but club membership is recommended as it provides MCofs civil liability insurance, .
Under 18's to be accompanied by parent or responsible adult at all club meets.
NOTE: Any advice or instruction given at club meets ,indoors or outdoors, is given from club member to club member(or potential club member) and is not in any official capacity.
Orkney Climbing Club is affiliated to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCofS). This provides all members with public liability insurance,and benefits such as use of club huts in the uk,discounts at various outdoor suppliers of up to 10%, etc. Check out the MCofS web site for more information.

Need Maps or Gps equipment? If you do need any equipment, the club which will receive commission if we shop through them. Please Ordnance Survey and you will be helping the club.for the

the club received funding for a feasibility study for the proposed picky wall of £6,000 and also £4,000 towards renewing out of date equipment in the 4 spa kits eg absiel ropes, slings,etc that were due for replacement.
